Charity Values

Accountability – the organisation is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission and complies with all relevant regulations. The ability to demonstrate a high degree of accountability will be a key criterion for developing working relationships.

Collaboration – we believe the solutions to the problems necessitating the work of the organisation can only be resolved through joint working and collaboration with organisations and people with similar objectives. The collaboration ethos will also extend to the beneficiaries of our programmes. We intend to continue to work with them in order to meet their ever changing needs.

Innovation – intractable problems sometimes require new approaches. CAH will seek to find new and more efficient ways to solve old and new problems.

Quality – CAH defines a quality basic health package as one that consists of the following:

  • Proactive and organised prevention programmes
  • Fair access to safe and effective health advice, drugs and procedures/operations
  • Is underpinned by up to date knowledge and appropriate technology
  • Is affordable to both the care provider and receiver

Sustainability – in an environment where resources are limited and change constant, sustainability becomes an ethical imperative.
Centre for African Health will strive to ensure that its programmes have built in mechanisms for sustainability.

We believe that the existence of a vibrant, strong, ethical and sustainable voluntary sector is key to the future development of Nigeria – we intend to play an active role in achieving this goal.
